Sage Devlin (They/Them)
Far Bungalow Farm
I moved to Leesburg, VA to start my flower farming adventure on family land. I actually started as a floral designer in Portland Oregon in 2016, but had the grower's itch and decided to scratch it! I take care to grow sustainably and regeneratively in a way that nurtures my local ecology while educating my community on sustainability in floriculture. My favorite flower to grow is quickly becoming Ranunculus- but who can choose, variety is the spice of life! When I’m not farming, you can find me hiking and identifying native species, smoking a hookah with my partner, Nathan, weaving, or slaying at karaoke in downtown Leesburg.

Whispering Flower Farm
I started growing flowers and vegetables in my tiny urban garden in early spring 2001 and never stopped growing. After being an urban gardener for 18 years in various places, Dan and I moved to the current property and started our flower farm in 2019. I am obsessed with so many flowers and plants and always trying to squeeze in more than we have a room for.

Winding Root Farm
I started my farming career with vegetables, but quickly fell in love with flowers. Today, I’m farming on mostly leased land, and am partnering with a friend to forage on over 100 acres. Finding new sustainable cuts is one of my favorite parts of this farming experience! I don’t have a favorite flower - who can pick?! - but today I am delighting in the overwintered Carmel anemones. When I’m not farming, you can find me working as a grant writer, reading sci-fi, hanging out with friends, hiking with my partner, Darryl, or cooking with strange vegetables.

Small Ventures Flower Farm
I have always loved growing flowers and found space for them in every place we've lived, which has been all across the USA. Creating a business that cultivates beauty and brings joy to others is my passion and longtime dream. It is my hope that you enjoy our flowers as much as we enjoy bringing them to you. Do I have a favorite? I tell all my flowers, “you are my favorite”!

Cool Hollow Flower Farm
Flowers have always been important in my life and my mother and grandmothers were all avid flower gardeners. As soon as I had dirt of my own I planted seeds and my very first cut flowers were sweet peas. That was back in 1991 while I was in grad school and I never dreamed I’d end up as a flower farmer, but in 2018 I turned my love of flower growing into a business on our old farm in Hagerstown, MD. My husband and I have lived here for twenty years, most of it spent rehabbing our old stone house, barn and outbuildings, but I always wanted to find the best use for the land. Flower farming has been the perfect answer. We grow using
sustainable methods, with care for the animals, insects and humans who live here. I work with my daughter and other family members to grow carefully selected cut flowers and woodies. My interests outside of flowers are 18th and 19th century American women’s history and historic preservation.
