How do I buy flowers from Rock & River?

Send an email with your name, delivery address, business name, contact phone, email and a copy of your state sales tax exemption certificate to: flowers@rockandriver.com  Each Monday morning you will receive an email containing the password giving you access to our online shop. The shop opens at 10 a.m. on Monday and closes Thursday 5 p.m. Orders placed are delivered the next week.

If you are interested in delivery let us know and we will evaluate your location for potential delivery options. Pick up is available at: Whispering Flower in Rohrersville, MD, Pleasant Hills in Darnestown, MD, Small Ventures in Charles Town, WV, Far Bungalow.in Leesburg, VA or Cool Hollow in Hagerstown, MD.

Tips for using the online store

Most important is to be sure you are ordering for the correct date. We allow orders for one or two weeks out from the week of ordering.

USE THE FILTERS. “In stock” and your “week of purchase” are the most important, but you can shop by color and product type, too. This will hopefully help you target what you're looking for rather than having to comb through everything.

If the shop isn’t allowing you to add the item you need to the cart, it helps to try for a lesser quantity. (It could be that we have inventory, just not the exact number you are looking for.)

Please make a note in the comments section of the order if you need additional quantities or items that have been sold out. We can’t guarantee we’ll have the extra availability, but we will send extra if we can and communicate along the way. Please be sure to indicate the maximum number of stems you could use.

Weekly email

Each Monday at 10 a.m. an email is sent to our customers with the weekly password that allows you to enter the shop. Our shop is here: Rock & River Shop

The store is open from Monday at 10 a.m. - Thursday at 5 p.m. You may order during this time for pick up or delivery the following Wednesday or the next Wednesday.  Only one delivery date may be ordered at a time--please do not try to order for two different weeks in one order.

Our ordering system will group your orders together so there's no need to let us know that you have multiple orders. If one order did not meet the minimum for delivery, but you place several orders, we will add them all together to see if they meet the minimum for delivery.

How do I pay for my order?

You will receive an invoice within a week of delivery from QuickBooks. QuickBooks accepts various forms of payment. We ask that you pay upon receipt.

Refunds for damaged product

We do our best to send out high quality flowers and stems, but we know things happen.  If you see damage that makes a stem or flower unusable please let us know immediately. Snap a picture of it and if possible of the tag that was on the bunch so that we know which farm it came from. Send this photo with the report to us that you have had an issue

We will evaluate the situation and communicate with you.  We may have questions, too. Our flowers are conditioned with professional flower handling products which give the flowers the longest possible life. We always recommend that flowers be stored in a cooler (except for zinnias) or a cool location with no direct sunlight. If you are letting flowers sit out to open we still recommend no direct sun on the product. We also recommend that you use quick dip and hydrator for the flowers which require it.

If we find that the damage originated on our end you will receive a full refund.
